SUMMARY:STEM Tech Quarter 2
DESCRIPTION:STEM Tech provides a group environment where a caring adult and student can have fun\, build STEM skills\, and grow together as a team. This group is designed for kids in grades 6-9. Each kid attends with an adult teammate\, i.e.\, parent\, grandparent\, aunt\, uncle\, older sibling\, or mentor. The adult team member is not optional.  This group is for kids in grades 6-8. STEM Tech is a hybrid group that combines coding and robotics with engineering. At least one person on the team\, either adult or student\, should have beginner level coding experience such as Scratch\, Python\, VBA\, etc. \nThe Fall semester of STEM Tech starts 9/14/26\, and registration is open for quarter 2 which runs 10/26 – 12/7/26. This quarter\, the STEM teams will build a cardboard car that can be controlled from a phone. Weekly meetings are 2 hours long and include a short Bible lesson. \n👉 To keep STEM Tech accessible\, we use a Pay What You Want model. Each 6-week quarter costs about $50 per student in materials. We ask families to contribute at least $20 per quarter to help cover these costs.
